Quick answer: “White vein” describes the colour of the veins running through the kratom leaf at the point it is harvested. White vein leaves are picked earliest in the maturity cycle, before the veins darken toward green and then red. The name refers to harvest timing and leaf appearance — not to a separate species or an additive. KratomDeal stocks five white strains, each available from a 12‑gram sample up to a full kilo at $74.95.

What Is White Vein Kratom?

Kratom leaves are sorted by the colour of the central vein and stem at the moment they are picked. That colour shifts as the leaf matures: earliest harvests show pale, whitish veins, mid‑cycle leaves show green, and the latest harvests show red. White vein kratom is simply leaf taken from the earliest point in that cycle.

It is worth being clear about what the name does not mean. White vein is not a different plant, not a different species, and not powder that has had anything added to it. Every colour comes from the same tree, Mitragyna speciosa, growing in the same regions of Indonesia. The difference is when the leaf was picked and how it was dried afterwards.

Because harvest timing and drying are the variables, the same farm can produce white, green and red lots from the same trees across a season. This is also why vein colour on its own tells you very little about quality — sourcing, handling and storage matter far more, and we cover those below.

How White Vein Leaf Is Processed

After picking, leaves are destemmed and dried. Drying method is where a lot of the character of the finished powder is decided. White vein lots are typically dried with limited light exposure to preserve the paler colour of the leaf; longer or sun‑exposed drying pushes the powder darker and is more common with red lots.

Once dry, the leaf is milled to a fine powder and sieved. A well‑milled white powder should be uniform, free of visible stem fragments, and consistent in colour from bag to bag. Grit, colour variation within a single batch, or a stale smell are all signs the leaf was handled poorly or stored too long — see how long kratom keeps for storage specifics.

The Five White Strains We Stock

Strain names describe growing region and lineage. All five below are white vein, all are available in the same seven sizes, and all are priced the same by weight — $74.95 a kilo. Each has its own detailed guide if you want to go deeper.

Not sure which to start with? The 27‑strain sample pack lets you try across the whole catalogue before committing to a kilo, and mix and match lets you build a five‑kilo order from any combination of strains.

White vs Green vs Red: What Actually Differs

The three colours are points on one continuum rather than three separate products. Here is what is factually different between them:

 White veinGreen veinRed vein
Harvest pointEarliestMid‑cycleLatest
Vein colour at pickPale / whitishGreenRed
Typical dryingLow light exposureMixedLonger, often sun‑assisted
Powder colourLightestMid greenDarkest
SpeciesMitragyna speciosa — identical across all three
Our kilo price$74.95 — the same for every colour and strain

We price every colour identically on purpose. Vein colour reflects harvest timing, not scarcity or cost, so charging more for one colour than another would be arbitrary. If a vendor prices whites at a premium over greens, ask what justifies it.

Powder or Capsules?

Both formats contain the same milled leaf. The practical differences are cost per gram and convenience.

Powder is the cheaper format by weight and is what our kilo pricing is built around. Capsules are pre‑measured and portable, and cost more per gram because of the filling and the capsule shell itself. We stock capsules by the kilo at $99.95, alongside 100‑count and 500‑count bottles. The capsules guide works through the cost maths in detail.

Sizes and Kilo Pricing

Every white strain is sold in the same seven sizes: a 12‑gram sample, 1 oz (28 g), 2 oz (56 g), 4 oz (112 g), 8 oz (224 g), 1 kilo (1,000 g) and 5 kilo (5,000 g).

A full kilo is $74.95, any strain, any colour. The five‑kilo bulk order is $249.95, which works out at $49.99 a kilo — a $124.80 saving against five single kilos, and you can mix five different strains inside it. Shipping is free at every size, with no minimum order. For the full per‑gram breakdown see our kilo pricing guide, or how much kratom is in a kilo if you want the portion maths.

What to Look For When Buying White Kratom

Vein colour is the easiest thing for a vendor to print on a label and the hardest thing for a buyer to verify. These are the things actually worth checking:

Sourcing you can ask about

A vendor should be able to tell you where the leaf comes from and how it reaches them. Ours is Indonesian‑sourced through GMP certified processing and established US importers — the sourcing guide covers the regions and the supply chain in full. If a vendor will not discuss sourcing at all, that is the answer.

Consistent milling and colour

Powder should be uniform in texture and colour within a batch, and reasonably consistent between reorders of the same strain. Wide variation between batches usually means the vendor is buying spot lots from whoever is cheapest that month.

Honest pricing structure

Per‑gram cost should fall as quantity rises, and the discount should be visible rather than hidden behind a code. Be wary of struck‑through “was” prices that never existed. Our pricing is flat and published: bulk and wholesale tiers are on the site, not behind an enquiry form.
