What everyone else charges for a kilo

Here is the 2026 spread across seller types, so you can see where any quote you are looking at sits.

What a kilo of kratom costs by seller type, 2026
Where you buyPer kiloPer gram
Budget online vendors$60 to $806¢ to 8¢
Mid-range online vendors$80 to $1208¢ to 12¢
Premium online vendors$120 to $18012¢ to 18¢

Gas stations and convenience stores$200 to $400+20¢ to 40¢+
KratomDeal$74.95, or $49.99 at five kilos7.5¢, or 5¢

The sweet spot for most buyers is $80 to $120 from an established online vendor. Above that you are usually paying for a storefront rather than better leaf. For why these numbers move through the year, see our guide to how kratom kilo prices move and when to buy.

What that means per day

Price per kilo is the headline, but cost per day is what you actually feel. At 10 grams a day:

What 10 grams a day costs at different pack sizes
You buyA dayA monthA year
28 g pouches$4.30 to $5.35$129 to $161$1,548 to $1,929
250 g bags$1.20 to $1.80$36 to $54$432 to $648
Our kilo at $74.9575¢$22.50$274
Our 5 kilo deal50¢$15$182

Buying by the kilo instead of by the ounce saves most regular buyers more than $1,000 a year. That is the single biggest reason experienced buyers order in bulk.

Powder or capsules

Capsules cost more per kilo everywhere, because someone has to fill them. Here is the usual gap:

Powder against capsules, price per kilo
FormatTypical kilo priceWhy the gap
Powder$80 to $120Milled and packed, little else
Capsules$150 to $250+Encapsulation machinery, labour, slower output
OursPowder $74.95, capsules $99.95Same leaf, same source

Capsules are easy to carry and there is nothing to weigh or taste. Powder is cheaper per gram. Plenty of people buy powder by the kilo and fill their own capsules at home. Our full breakdown is in the bulk capsules guide.

What moves the price of a kilo

Five things account for nearly all of the spread between a $70 kilo and a $250 one.

  1. Strain and colour. Common greens and reds cost less than specialty and seasonal strains, mostly down to how much is harvested.
  2. Sourcing and handling. A GMP certified source, proper handling and fast stock turnover all cost money and all show up in the price.
  3. Supply chain length. Every broker between the farm and you adds a margin. Shorter chains land cheaper.
  4. Overhead. A shop pays rent, utilities and staff, and that is baked into the shelf price. Online sellers run 30 to 60% under retail for this reason alone.
  5. Volume. The one lever you control. One kilo at $74.95 becomes $49.99 a kilo at five.

If you want the longer version, including how harvest seasons and import rules push these numbers around, read why kratom kilo prices move.

When a cheap kilo is too cheap

There is a floor, and under it something has usually been given up. Walk away when you see:

  • No sourcing information. If a seller cannot tell you where the leaf is grown, that is the answer.
  • Prices well under $50 a kilo. At that level the maths only works if the product is padded with stem and vein or is old stock.
  • Vague or missing strain names. Generic green kratom with no origin usually means mixed leftovers.
  • No returns policy. A seller who will not take a bag back is telling you how confident they are.
  • No way to reach a person. No phone number and no named contact is a bad sign at any price.

Making a kilo last

A kilo is months of supply, so storage matters more than it does with a small bag.

  • Keep it airtight. Move it into vacuum-sealed bags or airtight containers. Oxygen is what degrades kratom over time.
  • Cool and dark. A pantry or closet is ideal. Avoid anywhere the temperature swings, such as a garage.
  • Away from moisture. Never store it near the kitchen sink or in a bathroom. A silica gel packet in the container helps.
  • Do not freeze it. Refrigeration is fine for long storage, but freezing and thawing introduces moisture.
  • Split it up. Keep a small working supply out and seal the rest, so the bulk is opened as little as possible.

Stored properly a kilo holds up for a year or more. There is more detail in our guide to how long kratom lasts.

Questions people ask about kilo pricing

How much does a kilo of kratom cost?

Across the market a kilo runs roughly $60 to $300 depending on where you shop. Online vendors sit at the low end, head shops and gas stations at the high end. Ours is $74.95 for a full kilo of any of our 27+ strains, which works out to 7.5 cents a gram.

How many grams are in a kilo of kratom?

A kilo is 1,000 grams, or about 2.2 pounds. At 10 grams a day that is roughly a hundred days of supply.

Why is a kilo so much cheaper per gram?

You are paying for one pack, one label and one shipment instead of thirty. The leaf is identical. That is the whole reason the per gram price falls as the order grows.

Is a cheap kilo of kratom a bad sign?

Not on its own, but there is a floor. Below about $50 a kilo something is usually being cut, padded with stem and vein, or sat in a warehouse for a year. Ask where it is grown and how fast the stock turns over.

Do you ship a kilo for free?

Yes. Free shipping on every order with no minimum, and weekday orders placed before 3 PM EST go out the same day.

Can I mix strains in a bulk order?

Yes. The five kilo deal at $249.95 lets you pick any five strains from the catalogue, so you are not committing 5,000 grams to a single choice.

Ready to price it out?

A kilo of any strain is $74.95, five kilos is $249.95, and shipping is free either way.
